The Untouchables

The Untouchables. A great TV series that aired in 1959 and re-created in 1987.

A great story of struggle, self importance and significance.

The characters sought to stand up for what they believe in the face of uncertainty and danger. They didn’t take the time to understand each other, therefore fear and rejection ensued.
Yea, I know. David you’re taking all the fun out of the movie.
My point is this…..

We are all seeking not to be untouchable, but touchable. The problem with being untouchable’ is that you and I really want to be touched. We want to stand up for what we believe in, accepted for who we are and how God designed us.

Problems arise when others around us don’t want to touch us; want to experience our divine design.

Rejection is the most feared and the most painful of all spiritual, mental, emotional and physical experiences man will ever have in life.

Rejecting someone simply because you don’t understand them is the same as slapping God in the face and telling saying, “God, you designed them wrong because I don’t agree with it.”

Acceptance of who a person is has NOTHING to do with whether you understand them or not. It has nothing to do with whether you agree with what they are pursuing. It has to do with LOVE.

What if Jesus Christ looked at you right now (me too) and said, “I simply don’t understand you.” I died for you. Gave my entire life in Heaven up for you. I went to Hell and back, and look at what you are today.  I reject you.”
I am so glad He looks at us in LOVE and ACCEPTS US for who we are. I am so glad that He encourages our God given desires and supports how the Father God designed us..aren’t you?

Do you have someone in your life who your not accepting simply because you don’t understand their God Design?

You nor I have no right to reject or look at them cross-eyed simply because our “Superior intellect” won’t permit us to embrace them.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1st Corinthians 13:2

I am nothing? Wow.

Let’s get real. Look in the mirror. You’re not superior. Christ is and he stood up for you.

Don’t teach others that they are untouchable. You’ll never completely understand your spouse, children or friends, but God does. Let Him do his work; you have yours.

Reach out today and touch them where they need it most; in the way God designed them.

Keep it up and you’ll lose them. Rejection pushes people away. Acceptance brings them closer.
Hope this makes sense.
