AM I? I AM!

Moses said to God, suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, “what is his name?” Then what shall I tell them?

God said to Moses,  I AM WHO I AM.  Exodus 3:13-14

Have you ever doubted yourself? Your ability to take care of your family? Your health? Finances? If your breathing, chances are you have. I have. That is the foible of being human.

Moses doubted himself. He was tongue tied when God asked him to go free the Israelites from their slavery. That is a tall order. He doubted himself even talking directly with the one who created him, the great I AM.

Why do we doubt ourselves? Let’s go back in time for just a minute. Eve was deceived by the serpent in the Garden of Eden.  Listening to the enemy caused her to doubt.

God spoke the words I AM WHO I AM. He knows who he is. You are made in the image of God. That’s what God was trying to point out to Moses. If you are made in the image of God, the creator of all life… why would you doubt anything?

When ever we look at our circumstances (which at some point we created) and not God, we see our own inabilities, flaws and human fraility. Moses saw it, do you see it in your own life today? If you do, great!  Now look UP to the One who created you in his image and likeness. You were not meant to go it alone. Jesus, Gods Son, felt and experienced the same things you are experiencing today. He understands and wants to restore you.

Today don’t say,  AM I good enough? Am I pretty enough? AM I…  fill in the blank.

God’s Word encourages you to look to the Father and declare I AM!
